John M. Krystynak

KRYSTYNAK, John, M., 95, of Follansbee, W.Va., passed away at home on Sunday, November 8, 2009, surrounded by his loving family.

John was born on September 29, 1914, in New Waverly, Texas, son of the late Anthony B. and Josephine Kusek Krystynak.

He is also preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Carmell Krystynak; four brothers, Victor, Bronis, Ted and Ed Krystynak, and five sisters, Bessie Krystynak, Elsie Workman, Verna Mike, Anna Preston Griffin and Grace Strong.

John was a US. Marine, WWII Veteran and served in the South Pacific, was retired from Fuller Brush Company as a Ware House Foreman in Los Angeles, CA, a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Eucharistic Minister, & Holy Name Society all in Follansbee, served in the Civilian Conservation Corps for four years, and was a member of the Hilltoppers Baseball Team.

Surviving are one daughter: Carmel Barnett and husband, Clarence of Follansbee; two brothers: Louis Krystynak of Columbus, Ohio and Walter Krystynak of Hollywood, Calif.: five grandchildren: Lisa Marino McIntosh and husband, Eric of Ft Worth, Texas, Paul Marino and wife, Joy of Follansbee,Mandy, John and Shane Barnett of Follansbee; three great- grandchildren; Kayla, Kaitlin and Paul Marino, Jr. all of Follansbee and John's faithfull cat, Lazarus

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. at the James Funeral Home, 1245 Main St. Follansbee, WV.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 12 Noon at the St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Pete Giannamore as celebrant.

Interment will follow in Highland Hills Memorial Gardens

Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
