STEUBENVILLE - Customers of National City Bank will see the changeover of local branches to PNC during the weekend, with the branches to be closed for the conversion on Saturday.
Gary Mrozek, PNC regional president for the Youngstown area, which includes the Steubenville area, said there are 31 branches and 33 ATMs that will be PNC affiliates with the conversion.
"We bring the resources of the nation's fifth-largest bank to customers while maintaining local decision-making and an ongoing community focus," Mrozek said.
He noted communications with National City customers began three months ago.
"We are confident based on eight integrations during the past five years that we are ready for a successful conversion," he said.
Customers still will have access to National City or PNC ATMs during the transition weekend for access to checking, savings and money market accounts, but balance information will not be available for the National City customers over the weekend.
PNC's telephone banking system will have extended hours during the weekend, beginning Friday with hours from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The number is (877) 762-5570. The National City telephone banking number will not be available after 3 p.m. Friday. Customers may begin using their new PNC Bank Visa check cards and banking cards as of 8 a.m. Friday.
National City online banking and mobile banking will not be available after 3 p.m. Friday. The conversion to PNC Online and Mobile banking will not be ready for customers until 8 a.m. Monday. Customers will be able to use PNC text message banking by texting a command as outlined in their account transfer confirmation to 762265 (PNCBNK).
National City branches will close at 4 p.m. Friday and will reopen on Monday as PNC branches. Automated PNC telephone banking is to become available Monday at 6 a.m. at (877) 762-5570.
