James R. Maxwell
MAXWELL, James R. "Bush" "Max," 59, of Wintersville, Ohio, the best dad in the world, lost his fight with cancer on Sunday, June 14, 2009, at his home with his family by his side.
He was born March 10, 1950, in Steubenville, Ohio, a son of the late James I. and Luella Banfield Maxwell.
Max retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel and was Methodist by faith. He was a member of Pilgrim Masonic Lodge No. 691, Goodguys Rod and Custom Association and was the U.S. Director of Right Coast Rod and Custom Association. He was an avid fisherman and hot rodder.
Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Vickie J. Davis Maxwell, whom he married on June 15, 1974; daughter Casey (Mike) Allison of Dellroy, Ohio; son Travis (Esther) Maxwell of Wintersville, Ohio; four grandchildren, Kylie and Zeke Maxwell and Luke and Hunter Allison; sister Suzanne Clark and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Sam Davis officiating. Masonic service Tuesday 7:30 p.m.
