Drug task force raids homes

STEUBENVILLE - The Jefferson County Drug Task Force raided four homes and arrested six people Wednesday evening.

The drug task force, along with City Police and Wells Township Police officers, agents from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation and the Jefferson County Special Response Team raided a home at 140 McDowell Ave. and arrested Tracy J. McGowan, 28, of 1147 Wellesley Ave. McGowan was charged with two counts of trafficking in crack cocaine, the task force reported. Officials reported $1,000 in cash and marijuana were confiscated.

The task force also raided a home at 304 S. Fifth St. and arrested three people. The task force and City Police reported the following people were charged: Jessel Graham, 55, of 304 S. Fifth St., permitting drug abuse; Tera McClung, 38, no fixed address, two counts trafficking in crack cocaine; and Warren Austin, 37, of 459 S. Fifth St., possession of drug paraphernalia.

Crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia were seized, the task force reported.

A home at 530 Linden Ave. was raided by the task force, and Joseph Faulkner, 35, of the residence was arrested on a charge of trafficking in crack cocaine, according to reports. Crack cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were confiscated, the task force reported.

Demarques Meeks, 29, of 1318 Ridge Ave. was arrested on two counts of trafficking in crack cocaine after the drug task raided a residence at 1100C Lincoln Ave. Drug paraphernalia, cash and marijuana were seized, City Police and the task force reported.

All of the people arrested were to appear today in municipal court.
