Puskarich library events announced
December events for the Puskarich Public Library have been announced:
Dec. 9: Story hour for children ages 3 to 5 years old will be held from 11 a.m. to noon. There will be stories, songs, crafts and puppets.
Dec. 10: Toddler Time Play Group for children 1 to 3-years-old and their caregivers will be held from 11 a.m. until noon, with stories, crafts, songs and puppets.
Dec. 10: "The Polar Express," a holiday classic, will be presented to the After School Reading Club for pupils from first through fifth grades at 4 p.m. in the Coal Museum Theater. Parents should note that due to the length of the movie, pickup time will be later than the usual 5:45 p.m. time to leave.
Dec. 15: A free class of Microsoft Excel will be held in the computer lab from 5:30 to 7 p.m. This is for those who want to know the basics and will provide enough knowledge to have fun on the computer yet not bore with too many details. The class size is limited.
Dec. 18: Adult Book Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the month's section of "A Redbird Christmas" by Fannie Flagg. New members are welcome.
The library will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. It will close at 6 p.m. on New Year's Eve.
