CARNAHAN, Richard L., 64, of Wintersville, Ohio, died Friday, August 29, 2008, in Valley Hospice North.

He was born April 26, 1944, in Steubenville, the son of the late Franklin and Anna O'Grady Carnahan.

Richard retired in 2003 from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel as a brick layer, and he served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War in the 82nd Airborne. Richard attended the former Calvary United Methodist Church and was a member of the Masonic F&AM No, 690.

In addition to his parents, Richard was also preceded in death by three brothers, Franklin, Dwaine and Donald; and one sister, Jean Therms.

Surviving are his wife, Donna Morrison Carnahan, whom he married August 31, 1968; one son, Richard J. (Tiffany) Carnahan of Summerville, S.C.; one daughter, Staci (Matthew) Miller of John's Island, S.C.; one brother, Robert (Linda) Carnahan of Ft. Myers, Fla.; four sisters, Betty Sultie of Miami, Fla., Greta Lemasters of Wintersville, Linda Morrow of Steubenville and Arlene Carnahan of Columbus; and three grandchildren, David Miller, Cole Miller and Wil Shooter.

There will be no calling hours.
