I think I've told you before about the ballroom dancing a group of us took back in the 1960s.
It was a wonderful experience and was the foundation of many wonderful times. But it also is hard work. Maybe that's why so many of the contestants slim down during their training.
I've never been as good as the people you'll see vying in the Aug. 22 presentation but I've always loved to dance and miss being able to do it.
When I went to the physical therapist after I hurt my leg, two of my first questions were "Will I be able to dance again?" and "Will I be able to wear my high heeled, slingback, peep-toe shoes?" I didn't get an exact reply but hope the day will come when I can dance again and put on my high heels. Meantime, I enjoy watching.

Post office has latest technology
Did you know that today's post office uses the latest technology to serve your mailing needs? That's a question posed by Donna Ball, Adena Post Office postmaster.
She points out the latest technology:
The postal service is a world leader in developing and using optical character recognition technology. Today machines read more than 91 percent of handwritten addresses on envelopes.
It operates 36,000 alternative fuel vehicles, the world's largest environmentally friendly fleet.
It has one of the more popular Web sites on the internet. Nearly 860,000 visitors go to www.usps.com each day to buy stamps, look up zip codes, track their packages and learn how to use the mail to make money.
It uses intelligent mail barcodes to revolutionize the mail. Like tiny GPS systems, the new bar codes uniquely identify each piece of mail and can be used to track its location within the postal network.
