Shirley J. Myers
MYERS, Shirley J., 72, of Toronto, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2008, in UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Shirley was born September 21, 1935, in East Liverpool, Ohio, daughter of the late George and Edna (Walton) Foster.
Shirley was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Toronto and was involved in the Toronto Girls Softball Organization for over 10 years.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Myers, who passed away in 2006, they were wed on July 9, 1955. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Owen, Barb Myers and Eileen Porstmann; and two brothers, George ”Bud” Jr. and David Foster.
Shirley is survived by her three daughters, Sherri and her husband, Greg Antinone, of Steubenville, Ohio, Kim and her husband, Mark Coburn, of Toronto and Terri and her husband, Tom Horne, also of Toronto; one sister, Gloria (Bill) Brown; two brothers, Lyle (Graceann) Foster and Don (Barb) Foster all of East Liverpool; and six grandchildren, Richard (Amanda) Coburn, Dan and Joe Antinone, Matt, Christa and Carri Horne.
Visitation for Shirley will be held on Wednesday, from 7-9 p.m., and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto.
Shirley’s funeral service will be held on Friday, May 9, 2008, at 11 a.m., at the funeral home with the Rev. Kevin Rinkes officiating.
Burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.
