BIGGIO, John B., Sr., 72, of Steubenville, Ohio, died Saturday, May 3, 2008, in Naples, Fla.
He was born October 14, 1935, in Steubenville, the son of the late William J. and Sarah Cheffy Biggio.
John was the owner of the former Biggio Ford Lincoln Mercury; a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church; the Elk’s and he was a board member of the former First National Bank and Trust Co.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Biggio.
Surviving are his wife, Carole Barilla Biggio whom he married January 4, 1958; three sons, Charles E. (Jess) Biggio of N.Y., N.Y., John B. (Lisa) Biggio Jr., of Marbel Head, Mass., and William J. (Allison) Biggio of Saugas, Mass; one daughter, Caroline M. (Todd) Hamina of McMinnville, Or.; one sister, Mary Martha Salata (Dr. Robert) of Colorado Springs, Col., and seven grandchildren.
Calling hours are Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday 2-5 p.m. only at Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville.
A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Fr. Timothy McGuire as celebrant.
Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
There will be a Vigil Service Thursday at 4:45 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to either the Teramana Cancer Center, Johnson Road, Steubenville or to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Hospital, Houston, Texas.
