As for you Core, Obamacare was passed despite 75% of Americans being against it. Does that sound like true representation to you? The people have wanted the law repealed for years now, yet it has not happened, is that an example of representation?

The first thing the Senate did not have enough votes to bring about Cloture and send the bill to the floor for a vote. Harry Reid used reconciliation to pass the vote in the Senate. A process that is supposed to be used for emergency budget problems if you can't get cloture. Many said this was illegal but for some reason was never challenged. The House then passed the bill. RPG is exactly right despite being very unpopular Congressmen voted for it anyway because Piglosie wanted them to vote They didn't vote the will of the people in their districts. Many congressmen like Charlie Wilson paid the price and lost their House seats to Republicans. The bill was never popular and only passed by political trickery.

I agree V-Man. I warned people of what was coming years ago. It starts with catering to gays and giving them special rights, and then it moves on to cover other groups. Gays should have no more rights than straight people.

How come you did not mention DC specifically? No taxation w/o representation. Get off the Benghazi kick and fox. Maybe if medical insurance took care of coal miner deaths, the EPA would not have to regulate. I prefer the cleaner air. BRING THE JOBS THAT LEFT THE U.S. back and maybe there would be more job options in the coal miner areas. We fought for a lot, but none of you have fought to bring back regular jobs back to the U.S. The letter is bogus and bias/political.

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act consists of a combination of measures to control healthcare costs, and an expansion of coverage through public and private insurance: broader Medicaid eligibility and Medicare coverage, and subsidized, regulated private insurance. An individual mandate coupled with subsidies for private insurance as a means for universal healthcare was considered the best way to win the support of the Senate because it had been included in prior bipartisan reform proposals. The idea goes back as far as 1989, when it was initially proposed by the conservative Heritage Foundation as an alternative to single-payer health care.It was championed by many Republican politicians as a market-based approach to healthcare reform on the basis of individual responsibility. SO, there you have it. Republicans started it and Obama finished it. It just goes to prove that our government is out of control and both parties have wanted this debacle for many years.

Vote the incumbents out of office and then demand term limits on Congress. One term, then go home. They can't be left in DC for a lifetime to push their ideologies on us!

Echobravo, what exactly would happen if those jobs came back? We'd have pollution. Don't believe me? Look at China, they had to alter the weather for the Olympics so that the world would believe in the BS that Communism can give you clean air, more jobs, sunshine, and rainbows everyday. Look, I'm going to say this to you in a way that you may understand. PEOPLE MUST HAVE JOBS, SOME JOBS (MANUFACTURING) PRODUCE POLLUTION, THOSE JOBS ARE THE BACKBONE OF OUR ECONOMY. UNIONS AND THE EPA HAVE RUINED OR FORCED THESE JOBS TO GO AWAY. IF YOU WANT THEM BACK YOU HAVE TO LOOSEN UP REGULATIONS. ALLOW NON-UNION EMPLOYERS TO COME BACK, AND GIVE TAX BREAKS TO EMPLOYERS.

RPG - I totally get your scenario, HOWEVER, you and others would sacrifice the health of those employees by not wanting everyone to have health insurance. Make those polluting companies insure the workers with good insurance and close the tax loop holes. Its a win win for our economy.

EB, why haven't you done just that?

Start a business, hire workers, pay for their health care, give them a handful or two of "sick days", pay them good wages.

Lying again, or simply inability to do a simple web search, core?

"The TEA Party loons have wanted it repealed. "

75% of Americans are Tea Partiers? Fantastic! Thank you for that info, core. But, knowing your research skills (find that Uganda law yet?), I'll have to check it out myself, as others should also do.

Sorry, I forgot to give the link to the Rasmussen poll. I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself trying to research it:

Attorney's Personal Information Leaked by Obamacare Website

newsmax(dot)com/Newsfront/obamacare-security-personal-information/2013/11/06/id/535118

The Obamacare website leaked an attorney's personal information to another man seeking health insurance through the site's exchanges — and the Department of Health and Human Services failed to take the information down until the situation was mentioned on the Senate floor.
