Sorry, EB. Your links don't work.

Was it ObamaCare propoganda, or independant analisys? For example:

I don't want to sound cruel but I wish that Obama would have to abide by his own rules and then one of his family get sick. In a way that his own plan would dictate that said relative just be given a pain pill and told to go home. That way he'd experience how his master plan would affect someone else.

Good point Hagrid. That was by design no doubt. We cannot vote Obama out years after he has left office. However, we will be stuck with this curse he has implemented for years to come.

Like any open season. If you enroll during that time (Oct 1), coverage begins January 1st. Misinformation is what is causing issues. Where have you ever seen that it would take that long for benefits. MISINFORMATION IS A DANGEROUS THING.

EB, you do know that, under obamacare rules, you pay for 4 years before getting benefits, correct?

Perhaps the insurance companies should be reformed as part of the ACA re-tweeking. That should take care of all the unfair pricing that you claim is happening. Until that is addressed, that will continue to a thorn. You too have the option of shopping for better insurance like everyone else. If you choose not to, then there is no legitimate complaint. I am by no means happy with the amount that come out of my check (roughly half), but its beyond my control and have the mind set of "what I don't see is what I don't have" and don't think about it. I am comfortable knowing I have coverage. We have become a consuming nation versus being a fruitful nation.

Echobravo, Hagrid didn't say that, I did. Why should prices be adjusted to redistribute the wealth that I earned so that you can pay what you deem to be a fair price? I bring home about 2/3 of what I actually make. What about that is fair when people that contribute 0% can live for free.

EB, it is not that hard. If you are paying $500 for your family's health insurance while someone else is paying $1,500 for the exact same coverage, they are supplimenting your coverage.

Of course you have no problem, because, if you are telling the truth, you are not supporting me or anyone else. Quite the opposite.

Why is it so hard for people to understand that both parties are playing politics with our government. Some here want to make this more than what it is. This is about politics and the politics of this. The Republican party is afraid that ACA will succeed and that it is from the Obama Administration. Blind follower the reps won't understand that it needs tweeking and not repealed.

Hagrid - YOU SAID: So EB you only care about yourself. That is fine. Why should my wife and I have to foot the bill to help your family? A little selfish is it not?

That statement sounds a little misguided. If I am paying for MY healthcare with my funds, how are you paying for me. I am not on medicare/medicare/ssi, etc. I do not have a problem with my tax dollars taking care of you and your wife or any other American in need. I don't ride the fence on that my friend.

Who shut down our government?

townhall(dot)com/columnists/thomassowell/2013/10/04/who-shut-down-the-government-n1716292

Even when it comes to something as basic, and apparently as simple and straightforward, as the question of who shut down the federal government, there are diametrically opposite answers, depending on whether you talk to Democrats or to Republicans.

There is really nothing complicated about the facts. The Republican-controlled House of Representatives voted all the money required to keep all government activities going -- except for ObamaCare.

RPG - no need for me search for another persons situation as that is that person's alleged finding. I posted mine as it relates to me and my family. As far as WWII Vets, cancer patients, etc., why pick and choose who to help. There are 800,000 non working employees sitting at home. Shut it all down...

RPG0340, I don't know if EB has read Atlas Shrugged, or would understand how it relates to what is happening here, and around the world.

I am awaiting my copy of Atlas Shrugged III.

EchoBravo, how about looking on facebook and finding the post where the one gentleman's insurance increased for $256 a month to $700+. That is what is coming and to be honest, if that happens to me, I'm quitting my job and getting on the government dole. I'm tired of working my butt off trying to start a family so that some overweight half brained lazy idiot can sit around all day, eat steaks, smoke dope, and get drunk. I like hunting, fishing, and golf, if I never have to go to work, I can spend much more time indulging in these activities. I've done my share of work, time to pass the towing line off to some other poor bastard.

Oh, I forgot:

The Obama administration sent more people to block the World War II vets from visiting their memorial than he sent to protect those under attack in Benghazi.

The white House's VERY FIRST response was to block serviving World War II vets from visiting their memorial in Washington DC. Not to support our military, not to help cancer victims, not to fund air traffic controllers. At the same time planning another round-the-world tour on Air Force One with his enterage (he later cancelled under pressure).

Hagrid - Cannot dispute a very untimely and stupid response. It was very insensitive, however this issue should not be about picking and choosing what closes and what stays open. Respectfully, more of the government should be shut down. Only the military, TSA, should be open. Air Traffic should have closed as well, but politicians may have a stake in those airlines and it would also effect the world. Politicians are the ones who are playing with people's lives. Harry Reid's stupid response brought that to the forefront and villanizes congress even more.

Wow.

"'Why would we want to do that?':

Harry Reid dismisses funding children's cancer research separately from the rest of government" The U.S. Senate's leading Democrat found himself in embarrassingly hot water Wednesday, after dismissing the idea of funding children's cancer research through the government shutdown.

'If you can help one child, why won't you do it?' asked CNN reporter Dana Bash.

'Why, why, why would we want to do that?' countered Reid.

"I go on to say that I want the same for others and don't mind paying a little extra for it to happen."

How do you feel about others paying a LOT more?

"Also, you can pick and choose what polls you want to share here to support your statements"

I picked the non-biased polls. If you have other non-biased polls that show otherwise, please present them. Otherwise, we will use my non-biased ones. OK?

"its funny how many people don't know that OBAMACARE and ACA are the same thing, yet the polls also state that more people support ACA over OBAMACARE. Go figure."

I suppose you got that info from liberal media polls? Can you provide a source?
