This Judge Cosgrove looks like a "tough cookie".... no doubt some coaches, parents and youngsters are crapping in their britches! Plenty of fireworks to come as more guilty run to the front of the line for immunity deals....only takes ONE to rat out the whole rotten warehouse of those in hiding who covered up this mess. Yup....criminal convictions, then the civil lawsuits commence. Open up yer pocketbooks coaches, administrators and school board...you'll be paying dearly for many years to come.

And this too shall pass. What will you do when this is over and you have nothing else to fuel your hatred? John 8: verse 7, They kept demanding an answer, so he stood up again and said, "All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!" Matthew 7:2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. (Your bitterness, hate and enmity will destroy you. Our town and school system will come through this stronger and better. The gem cannot be polished without friction, nor man perfected without trials. Fire is the test of gold; adversity, of strong men.)

It's amazing how some people want mercy for themselves and demand ALL JUSTICE for others. You would do well to read the parable in Matthew 18: vs 23 through 35. 32“Then the master called the servant in. ‘You wicked servant,’ he said, ‘I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. 33Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?’ 34In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed. 35“This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.”

I think that its a good move on the local judge to ask for help.

It will be hard for some to accept anything less than a full linching of half of Steubenville.

Quoting from the Bible doesn't really turned me on, but the Golden Rule applies to all of us.

A prayer or two hoping that parents WILL NOW spend time to tal;k to their kids, and to monitor their electronic devices.

Prayers that justice is served fairly, and that when its over....IT'S OVER!!!!

lemermaid: OK, you can read the Bible but so can I. How about an eye for an eye. There are many other verses I could quote but I won't. The real question is why you are being so defensive and protective of those who have done wrong and/or sinned.

So far the superintendent, contrary to his promise, has not addressed whether or not he will allow the coach to work with children after allegedly being aware of a rape and protecting the perpetrators.Of course, it's apparent he is not in charge and the coach probably directed him not to speak in public. At long last does no one in the school system have no sense of shame or commitment to anything other than football. What a disgrace

@lemermaid What hatred are you talking about? If you call the people's clamoring for justice in this cesspool case you only show your true colors: moral turpitude. Don't try covering your turpitude up with verses from the New Testament. We see through you.

She definitely looks ike a tough cookie, but looks don't always mean that much. We just hope she has no ties to the power cluster here, as they seem to have "people" everywhere. Also thought earlier commentor went way over w/ her Bible references. We are mostly good God fearing people in this community, but do not seek the comment section of this paper for our spiritual mentoring. She needs to teach her bible classes elsewhere.

It is very disturbing to see how many are so involved in evil and its cover up. How did Steubenville get that way and how will they find their way back to a moral life?

Hey Lemermaid......spare me your religious platitudes. Take a look at the Catholic Church massive coverup of the pedophile scandal on an international basis. Usually, those that spout holy scripture turn out to be the most warped and deviant. This has nothing to do with religion but everything to do with civil morals, justice, and fair prosecution of a bevy of characters (adult & juvenile) who sought to cover up a horrendous crime. SEE 20/20 ABC SPECIAL THAT JUST AIRED TONIGHT....looks like many more folks will be indicted and prosecuted....hey.....mebe ya'll will need the loan of an out-of-town jail to house all the deviants after the verdicts! RENDER TO CEASAR THE THINGS THAT ARE CEASARS!!!!!!!!!

What nobody seems to have discovered is that Farrah Marcino, who testified for the defense and called herself a friend of the victim, is actually clearly a longtime friend of the defendant. Trent Mays' own MySpace page was written by Marcino. So, while she was on the witness stand claiming to have been a friend of the teen her loyalties were slits, at best. She seems to have bent the truth to give the defense some testimony they wanted.

Steubenville seems like such a creepy place. The kids who watched this happen and then attacked the victim throughout the aftermath are the norm in Steubenville. It's really a sick place.

Judge Cosgrove has the reputation of being one tough hanging judge from Summit County. If your a member of the Steubenville Rape or Coverup Crew, I would be very worried. You best turn yourself in, confess, and plead for the mercy of her court.

What mad this case creepier than most rapes were both the number of witnesses and the number of people who knew about and thought it was cute to comment on, but that no one saw any reason to report the crime to the police. All the way along no one cared at all about the girl who was raped. This is one of the things that enables rapist the facts to few if any will give a*****about the victim. Only by gong after the people who knew and did nothing can we do anything to curtail rape. When those that know about a rape understand that the law requires them to report a crime and certainly a serious one like this, then we may start to prevent future rapes. We must end the rape society that we have developed and support the victim instead of the criminal. It is hypocrisy to complain about crime and then not report crimes that you know about,

One of the little pucks contradicted himself in the ABC interview. What a bunch of lies. He said no one was drunk, then he said it happen because no one was in their right mind from drinking. What a sick little place. I will never know why they were not tried as adults. At what point will this paper in scumville start calling for these adults to be removed from contact with kids.

How far is Salem from there? You do realize the witch trials were started by making the testimony of "innocent" girls unquestionable even when their stories were coerced by adults?

I have real concern there will be deaths and suicides of kids over this. I have unfortunately been right many times before. This judge would normaly do nothing but feed the fire already started by dewine, anonymous, special interest groups and media, and all those who can use it for their own power or politics. How bout if anyone dies over this and it can be proven dewine, these judges, prosecutors etc. knew or should have known, that death would be a common outcome of their actions that they be treated as a common murderer? I really don't want to see anything bad happen to begin with and if nothing else this is just a statement that says a few of us know what your snake system really does and truth will expose you.

Alchemy is so full of baloney. Nobody finds him credible. If people are guilty they must be held accountable. Face the music, Steubenville. Get some ethics, alchemy.

And how will you repay GerriM if you are wrong, for the life of someone? You wouldn't owe anything? Is that what you think? You think you're exempt from giving false judgement or sin while doing your job or being loyal to government? You think that's how it works GerriM?

What is alchemy talking about? It appears that Alchemy can't take responsibility for his actions so he has gone on a smear campaign blaming others who have no fault in this matter. Get a conscience, alchemy.

I wish she would "man up" and shove the whole thing back in Dewines face. That's the least of the right things she could do but how is she supposed to do that if Dewine put her there to begin with? What she really should do is find the trial court as blatently corrupt and immediately reverse all it did. Then restart by ordering true counseling for the girl instead of court ordered isolation and manipulation by the prosecution and the various witches organizations. As always truth is the only salvation in anything. Whether you want to accept, or not, our "justice" systems are in fierce opposition to truth. They have to be. Truth is not a profession. Truth is not a monopoly for some to make money. Truth is not endless volumes of books written by men and years of specialty education with it's own procedures and definitions. Truth is not faith, loyalty, or vows, to any of those things. That only leads to is a bunch of reprobates replacing God and an eternal cycle of

You seem a man or woman of supreme ignorance. Your town is fortunate that an outside, objective judicial source will issue justice. This was obviously necessary because idiots like you are oblivious to any morals, right/wrong, concepts, etc. You sound like those blind, religious nuts who follow the pedophile priests with clapsed hands and a bag full of cash.
