They won't fire him, he's one of the good old boys. They will find a way to keep him and make it seem like they did all they could.

If you can recall Reno was asked to be interviewed by CNN but he had his own stipulations and CNN refused to abide by them. Reno may control Steubenville but he cannot control those outside of the bubble. The fact he is now hiding behind a lawyer speaks to his guilt. His "helping" of these kids will go down as his legacy no matter who he helped in the past to feed and house.

McVey and Crosier can't do anything to a student if nothing happened at the school! Extra curicular activities and sport activities do have certain guidelines in which the coach can do something, like kick them off the team Or bench them etc. Coach Sac has helped many kids. He has "taken care of them" by being a father figure they may not have, by taking them in when they have no one at home to feed them. Don't be quick to judge.

McVey, Crosier and Reno should all be gone. Who runs the school the football coach or those above him? No doubt the good ol boys did the same as usual and contacted Reno before law enforcement so he could #Takecareofit

Someone explain to me why it's ok for the police/prosecutor to notify Reno that rape allegations have been made against a player "BEFORE" you notify his parents? Weird and unprofessional to say the least.

You're right, we don't know exactly what was said to the Coach by the defendant.

That said, however, we DO know that the defendant believed that: "I got Reno. He took care of it and sh** ain’t gonna happen, even if they did take it to court,"

"Even if they did take it to court" implies that the conduct was serious enough to land the defendant in court, not just a simple minor infraction. The question you have to ask is, "Where did the defendant get this impression, that the Coach 'would take care of it?'"

I'm sure that this impression didn't arise out of a vacuum. I would argue that it arose out of a perceived pattern of condonation, or minimization, of misdeeds (possibly even rising to the level of illegal activity) committed by players. If Reno had been known to have a zero-tolerance for illegal activity, it is unlikely that the defendant would have approached him in the first instance.

The issue isn't, as the superintendent claims, what the coach told the alleged perpetrators. The issue is did he report the allegation of sexual abuse to authorities. The police certainly, but also the principal and the superintendent. All who knew and did nothing need to be removed immediately from contact with children. Their values and priorities are warped. Although the cover-up is not worse than the alleged crime it certainly is close

You judgemental people have no idea what was said to Coach Saccocia. If they lied to him and sugar coated what happened, perhaps he did support his kids. Until you know what he was actually told, you have no right to judge him. Wait for the trail to play out, then accuse.

Wow, and the dynasty shall fall! Long overdue!!! Unfortunate though, as I am sure that there are good and morale children and coaches that are caught up in the mess.

Disgusted to realize that not only did the Coach know but was going to #Takecareofit. Disappointed that the principal did not handle the situation rather than the coach, as mandatory reporter Coach Sac should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, fired and name taken off field. Unbelievable. Man of morals? Hope he testifies to clear this up but am expecting him to plead the 5th also which would make him guilty in my eyes.

Where are all the disgusting creeps who stood on the sidewalk supporting the students ("our boys") before this came to trial? Where are the Facebook idiots who were screaming about how Steubenville was wrong because of this trial?

You people and your pathetic, cowardly town full of maggots and stench are nothing but trash. The only way something this disgusting could happen is by allowing it - the parents, teachers, citizens of that filthy town allowing it to happen.

The world looks at Steubenville and your POS football coach and sees you EXACTLY as you are: pure trash. Filth. Excrement.

Many are wondering how do you defend all the testimony from the past few days?

Hang in there Jane Doe. Stand your ground. Strap on your seat belt and on hold on tight; you'll probably be on a wild ride today. Prayers.

The school system needs to fire Coach Sac. Just wait till he takes the stand and pleads the 5th and refuses to answer any questions.
