Actually, you are wrong. I mentioned those things because they are "wants" of mine. However, providing for my family comes first, such things are "needs." There is a difference obviously some being a necessity and the right thing to do and others are luxuries, material things perhaps to pass down to a child/grandchild someday. I agree that the looneys running our government have fouled the nest. It is not my fault they did so. I only have one vote and I cast it according to what I believe is right. Things would be better if the welfare slobs would not have the right to vote. At least then the people that make the economy would not be cancelled out by those that cripple it.

Sorry V-man u posted nothing that merits a response. But I'll throw you a bone. Yes I critcize Fox but I feel the same about CNN and MSNBC. I merely pointed out where Rumsfeld made tha claims against the Pentagon that by the way were never followed up on.

Rpg,I don't have to know u. U define urself with everthing u post. U r very materialistic (motorcycle/rolex watch) and you are hateful and judgemental (a conservative). U may not own the things u place value on but it shows ur mindset. U r one of those who think we live in a capitalist nation that is now being turned into socialist nation by Obama. Rpg in ur lifetime u have not experienced true capitalism. Capitalism doesn't provide for subsidies (that is communistic as displayed by China). Capitalism would not tolerate bailouts or legalized lobbyist bribary. Capitalism believes no one is too big or small to fail. So, like it or not your Wall St. heroes are socialists also and your party is the biggest hypocrit of all because they espouse small government and conservative spending and then create the Dept of Homeland Sec and fund it out the wazoo. Every Repub Pres since 1980's has run a major deficit domestically and with foreign trade. U R living a fantasy and don't know it.

Actually Maverick, you really need to get off that kick of assigning things to people that you know little or nothing about. I forego buying a motorcycle, new truck, $5k vacation, $150k home, Ed Brown 1911, Rolex watch, etc so I am not 1 injury away from disaster. I can hold my own brother. I came up on my own, and I nor any other hard working American should be forced to foot the bill for a bunch of worthless bums. You are correct, both partys screw us but only because they all think like liberals.

Maverick, once more you try to assign a belief to me which I do not hold. I do not agree with corporate welfare. Welfare trash do need incentives, hunger, and boredom are great motivators and should serve that purpose. As for incentive, I lose over 1/3 of my earned wages to taxes. Where is my incentive to work overtime? Eliminate the progressive tax and replace it with a flat/fair tax and perhaps things will get better really quickly. I did not paint all the bums with a broad brush. I criticize those with no intention of working.

Mingo if only the strong survived those on welfare would be gone and replaced with you. There will always be people on the bottom rung and right above the ones you want to starve is you. You and Rpg should realize you are not all that. You guys could each be an accident or in jury away from the the welfare system or even months away from a finacial collapse the likes of which this nation had never seen. And you will get no special treatnebt because you were cheerleaders for the corporate robbers.By the way Rpg where did I mention Bush or the Republicans. Lose the parANOIA AND REALIZE WE ARE BEING SCREWED BY BOTH PARTIES.

Rpg, u r painting a picture of the welfare crowd with a broad brush. Sure their are abusers and their are people who are third generation welfare because they were taught the only survival skills that their ill preparede parents knew. The system need rewritten and used to create skills and incetives to pull oneself up. But our legislators can't even spend a forty hour work week getting the econmy on track so forget about wlfare reform. These people sicken you. How do you feel about the people with 2000 dollar suits and hundred dollar haircuts and smell real good and are driven around by chaufers and piloted on private jets on your tax dollars. Oh corporate wefare is OK because these wealthy crooks create jobs. no they don't 12 and half years of tax cuts and the job market is still stagnant while businesses are making record profits. Record profits from cutting jobs and requiring remaining workers to do more and work 60 hr. work weeks plus splitting up the tax breaks as bonuses.

Good idea Mingoman. Chicago is a good start but I suggest MExico. They have been sending their bums north to collect welfare for years. Let's start sending our trash south.

I say we round up all the poor people, put them on busses and move them to Chicago since Obama cares about them so much. I love corporate welfare. Corporations hire people and are the engine of our economy. If people choose to have 4, 5, 6 or more kids and are on welfare, I say we cut off their food supply, only the strong survive.

@maverick, Have you ever gone to the store on the first of the month? That vile, stinking, entitled hoarde makes me sick. The 5'2", 250 lb. wig wearing 23 year old welfare queen with 5 kids chatting on her Iphone with a cart full of frozen pizzas, chips, and hoe hoes, getting upset that the checkout lines are so long before loading her loot into a 1990 cadillac with chrome rims is more than I can stand. I feel bad for the peple trying to make it working 2 jobs, and cannot get assistance even though they paid into it for years. I hate the lazy bums that have no intention of working which are most of the 1st of the month crowd. They deserve to starve! As for the other stuff, stop blaming republicans, Obama created more problems in 4 years than Bush could have created in 16.

WE can't raise enough revenue to make a difference and cutting the budget takes a huge amount out of circulation. Printing more money is not the answer because all that does is make the Federal Reserve wealthier and more powerful. The Fed Reserve is a large part of the fiscal madness we have been paying interest on our own money for decades which is in essence part of the national debt. All is lost but we can at least make a point by starving the poor but don't think for a moment that it won't bite us on the arse when he food industry makes up the loss of profits on our backs. Because corporations always protect their record profits at our expense. Remember Human welfare (3%) 58 billion... Corporate welfare (5%) 92 billion.

We can take the entire 58 billion away from the welfare programs. Many could care less if people starved but when they found out that the real pain will be felt by everyone because local grocers would raise their prices because food stamps are a large part of the agricultural revenue. The housing market would go back on the ropes when landlords started evicting section eight tenants and other low rent tenants. Welfare to the poor finds its way back into the local economies almost immediately wheras the 92 billion in corporate welfare usually becomes part of bonus packages for corporate upper management and much of this money finds its way to offshore banks. And then there is the Pentagon which averages 1.5 billion in cost overuns and fraudulant spending. The Pentagon still hasn't accounted for the 2.6 trillion that Rumsfeld claimed was unnaccounted for on Fox news on the day before 911.The reason we have gone from the fiscal cliff to sequestration is because there is no way out. Back in the 1990's, Slick Willy Bill Clinton fought against the newly elected Republican Congress. The Grand Ole Party pushed through Welfare Reform getting generational families off welfare & on to working anf the Republican Congress balanced the budget for the first time since Eisenhower.

Clinton Gore & the Liberal lame stream media claimed the G.O.P. would throw families into the streets and bankrupt America. Clinton vetoed the bills twice until public opinion forced is hand. Then years later, he , Gore, and the Dems took credit for what they fought against.

Today we see the same from King Obama & Company while the mass media is bidding the Democratic Party's talking points. Ever notice the worse cities, counties, & states are generally run by the entrenched Democratic Party? Explains our area, doesn't it!

The "Chicken Little, I mean democratic party, loves to scare people into believing that their free Obama money and other goodies, will no longer be handed out to them. Children will go hungry, seniors go without their medicine, criminals will be let out of prisons and jails to freely roam the streets etc, etc, etc. The reality is that every WORKING American took a 2% haircut on January 1, 2013. I have not gone without food, I didn't stop paying my mortgage, I can still buy my medicine. I balanced out my expenses overall. I don't keep my thermostat at 72, I turned it down to 70, I don't eat out 3 times per week, I now eat out 2 times per week. I don't take a ride in the country every Saturday, I go every other Saturday. If I can cut back 2%, so can the government and all of the takers of fee government goodies in this country. Better yet, get an education and you took can be a contributer and not a taker.
