I didn't see anyone post one of the real reasons gas prices are so high, most of you are to*****bent on blaming the President. When was the last time we built a refinery in this country? I can tell you we've shutdown several without replacing them, why? Could it be manipulation by the oil producers? The keystone pipeline will only supply us with more oil we can't refine. Face it the oil companies have no incentive to build refineries. Why would they want to refine more oil that would lower gas prices, that doesn't make any sense does it? Supply and demand has been replaced with greed and manipulation and the cause is the CEO's their henchman cohorts with their enriched pay & bonuses and then the shareholders of the oil companies demanding 30% returns on their investments. GREED, GREEDY, GREEDEIR, and GREEDIEST has replaced supply and demand in every aspect of our economy, welcome to the age of globalization and deregulation as I believe Stan stated. And to you cinnamangirl tradi

You forgot to mention how they formulate gas during the winter months so your vehicle gets 10%-15% LESS GAS MILEAGE. I have been documenting this for the last 6 years or so. My vehicle during the warmer months consistently gets about 25-26mpg. During the winter, it consistently gets about 22mpg.

Obama's Energy Secretary Steven Chu, said , " In order to ween ourselves from fossil fuels, we need to be paying the same amount as the Europeans." That equates to $9.00 per U.S. gallon.
Remember when Obama blamed the gas prices on George W. and said the president can change fuel prices immmediately ? Google Steven Chu gas prices. Then Google Obama attcks Bush gas prices.

Its not the investors bidding up the price, ity must be Obama.
If you don't understand that gasoline is a comodity and the greedy oiul barons are sucking us dry, then you might as well pick on our President or Ka$sick, or maybe your township trustee.

It's amazing the price of gas dropped right before the election just like the unemployment numbers.
Can't wait to see what your healthcare looks like in a couple more years.
Did you know the pre-exiting policy is already maxed out?
Now all those families that did have insurance and soon will not because their employer will drop them. and now can't get insurance for a child if he or she has a pre-existing condition.
Stan if you and your buddies work real hard you may be able get obama elected a third term.
Can you speak Chinese?

Stan excellent article but you left out the part where Obama said"Under my plan energy prices will skyrocket" you can still find that on youtube. Wait til he forces power plants to use natural gas, guess who will pay for the conversion from coal to gas? In the meantime China and Russsia will but our coal for their plants.Yes Stan you voted for this.

I don't think $3.86 will look bad within a year or two. I do not think our president has done anything to help with possibly becoming energy independent (Key stone pipeline) and I can see it ticking upward. I hope all those union members who voted this guy (Barry) in because he bailed them out, are happy. Trust me, things get bad enough, none of you will be safe. I don't care if you think you are sitting securely and your needs are taken care of. If the general population really starts to hurt, it will be a scarey time for all. Us currently in the workforce do not have the luxury of a pension; we rely on 401Ks (unstable, at best). This country is on a rapid decline, with a anchor tied to us. And while it isn't all Obama's fault, his liberal views and absolute ignorance in the matter of economics is pitifully obvious.
