I do not see why the tax payers need to replace federal money that was only to be a one time budget item. I also don't see why it is continuous, which means forever! What if the district starts getting its royalties from the gas lease? What happened to the gas money? I have only heard where the children will be punished if this doesn't pass, what about the staff? Or administration? Do staff have to pay more for health insurance like the rest of us? Or less administrators?

The Herald Star will be posting a correction in their newspaper. This is a continuous levy and the renewal levy will have to be put back on the ballot since the levy did not pass back in November. Taxes are paid in arrear and the tax money from this levy if passed will not be provided to the district until next year.

This is a continus levy, not a 5 year levy as stated in this article. Yes if the "Emergency Levy" is not put up for renewal the tax payers taxes will go down.

However, after taking a look at the districts 5 year budget, they will need the "Emergency Levy" to be renewed or the district will be back in the RED in 4 years.

Even if the "emergency levy: is renewed the district will be back in the RED in 5 years based upon the current 5 year budget and that is with this levy passing.

Tell us how you are going to keep the district solvent down the road, 5 yeard and more without asking for more taxes.

Yes, the district is operating of the same tax valuation as 1977 but not the same revenue as in 1977. I have lived in my house for 25 years and in that time span, my taxes have d
