Gee, silly me. I just thought maybe the workers were interested in getting the mill open; up and down the valley, not just in Yorkville.

I am not an econ major or math, but let me see if my math works a little.

Steel Mill Yorkville average wage Apprx $20/hr. Mingo average wage -0- Steubenville -0- Mingo polce $10/hr.

Approx 1000 laid off workers -0-

If we paid them $10 per hour verus $20 per hour, we could afford twice as many workers.

Or if the company saved that $10 an hour they may be able to open more departments.

Mingo would closer to flush, and some services might be restored.

Maybe if the workers didn't think the "golden goose" would live forever; the mill might be running.

Just saying.

By the way, my Dad worked for 30+ years in the mill, my mother gets $108 A MONTH...then they take 101 for insurance.
