"The center teaches children, starting in elementary school, what to do when someone is being hurt. First, they are taught to make sure they are in no danger of being injured themselves. Then, they are taught to go to an adult or call 911 themselves - and, if possible, to go as a group to reach an adult or call the police."

I think I recall that being talk to my children in Pre-school, Kindergarten, Elementary school; how soon many have forgotten.

It's a matter of character. Have some or ebing one!

Just like the commercial with the students in the hallway..........

It's been awhile since I've been in high school, but what I found strange is the 2 alleged rapist were underclassmen weren't stopped by older guys on the football team. The athletic ability of jocks in high school usually doesn't override senior's place on the "food" chain. Maybe none were there, but it would seem like some 18 year old senior lineman or linebacker would step in and say, "Whoa, you can't be doing that." Just for street "cred" among other girls or actually knowing right from wrong....Maybe that just happens in the movies.

I would also think that if you are also doing something bad, you will not want to get in trouble for what you are doing by telling on others that are doing something bad. For example, If I was under-age drinking, I will not report a rape happening because they will discover that I was there drinking, way past football curfew,or those there doing the raping will tell on me. Plus, nobody like a snitch. Also, we have always been told that whatever happens with the football team, stays within the football team.

Rape is rape; wrong is wrong; my parents finding out I was drinking would be minor infraction to watching someone get raped and not stopping the wrong doing or calling authorities. My parents would have me by the ear and talking with someone.

Ok, where were the other girls? Still nevre heard about their whereabouts and why they were silent.?????????????????

Rape is rape. If you watch it happen and do nothing, it's the same as doing rape. These other teenage animals should be joining their friends in a juvenile court or adult court if they were over 18. Why hasn't a grand jury investigated everyone involved and what they did or didn't do? America is watching and we are not satisfied with the justice response so far.
