Catholic Central begins the year 3-0
STEUBENVILLE — The sweep is complete. Wednesday, Amanda Looman recorded her second hat trick of the season leading the host Catholic Central girls soccer team to a 12-1 victory against Indian Creek. “Yeah, they are looking good,” Crusaders coach Chris Ledyard said about his 3-0 squad. “There was a lot of good passing today, and a lot of good runs. We worked on a lot of one-touch game at practice, and they did a nice job. “They communicated well, and I didn’t have to give anything on the sidelines. I just watched them have fun.” Indian Creek (0-5) head coach Jerry Emley declined to comment. Looman has now scored a team-high eight goals on the season, and both of her hat tricks have come against the Redskins. Looman also scored two goals in the Crusaders’ 4-1 victory Friday at Madonna.
