Mingo needs people to come in
To the editor: It seems to me the village council of Mingo Junction is not concerned about the safety of its citizens. We have considered moving to and looked at homes to buy in the village. We have quickly changed our minds. At the March 9 council meeting, council called for a recess. The citizens and employees were waiting for council to return, but council went out the back door. How can you do that and not address the concerns of those there? I understand the police force had given notice before the meeting that they were willing to take a pay cut to keep all on the force working for their safety as well as the citizens. Council did not address that before leaving out the back. I noticed one council member said she was concerned about the future of her town. If people are moving out and not moving in, there is not much of a future. You need that tax money coming in also.
