| | Just thinkingDecember 24, 2010 - Mike MathisonThe NCAA proved Thursday how much it really doesn't care about rules when it declared five Ohio State football players ineligible for the first five games next season. The all-powerful college czars said those five guys would be allowed to play in the Sugar Bowl next month. So, it begs the question that if the infractions were that bad to miss the first five games of next season, why in the world were they not that bad to also miss the bowl game? Money. Please, people, do not talk to me about paying college athletes. What those guys did was beyond that. They sold championship rings, a sportsmanship award, which also begs the question, what will coach Jim Tressel do? To me, it is rather obvious those guys do not care about their teammates or the institution. More on this in my Monday column. Merry Christmas! Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article.
