Now is the time...
December 4, 2010 - Mike Mathison
For someone from Martinsburg to file a lawsuit on Monday with someone in West Virginia to make someone make sure that someone else will play in the Class AAA football championship game. No one knows what is going to happen when the West Virginia Supreme Court on Monday OK's to hear the appeal by the SSAC on the homer ruling by Kanawha Circuit Court Judge Carrie Webster to allow her hometown South Charleston Black Bears to play in the playoffs after a bench-clearing brawl in the Nov. 19 state quarterfinal game. It has been said that if the West Virginia State Supreme Court hears the case, it will only be via briefs and will not a couple of dueling lawyers. I just hope someone makes a decision soon and then someone from the SSAC pencils in the state title game next week and someone will get to hold the trophy.
