| | Top Classic TV IntrosNovember 11, 2010 - Brandi BowersI know the big Entertainment News for today is the Country Music Awards, but I'm not a country fan, so I'm going to bypass that one. Instead, I found a really good listing on Entertainment Weekly of the Top 25 Classic TV Title Sequences. I think they really did a good job of putting this one together. Here's the list. 1. The Twilight Zone (1959-1964) My favorites from this list are Get Smart, The Monkees, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (I've sung along with this one quite a bit, lol), The Cosby Show & Happy Days. I have some other favorites not on the list, but if you check out the link, you'll see the shows have descriptions with them. Well, in the Six Feet Under one, they even mention that HBO shows, "especially Sunday night ones," are always known for good openings. Of course, if you read my blog, you know I'm partial to True Blood & Sex and the City. I also like the new one, Boardwalk Empire & I've liked most of the openings in the HBO shows. I also like the openings for Buffy the Vampire Slayer & Angel. Most Joss Whedon title sequences have been pretty good for getting you into the show you're about to see. And that's really the key to a good intro! PS. I'm also a fan of House with the song, Teardrop, playing & Charmed with How Soon Is Now playing. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article.
