| | Best Comedy StationOctober 22, 2010 - Eddie KokosinskiWhat station gives you the most laughs? Pretty simple. TBS has some good stuff with syndication of Family Guy and Seinfeld. Always good for a laugh or two. Maybe your more into Adult Swim on Cartoon Network, the Venture Brothers tend to give me a gut buster every week. But that isn't the best. Oh, I forgot to mention Comedy Central. The Central of laughs, right? On most nights, yeah. But many laughs are forgotten and only remember during re-runs or next day conversations. But the funniest station as of late has been Fox News. Sarah 'Mama Grizzly' Palin. Bill (Papa Bear as some of you know him) O' Reilly. and then Glen Beck. The definition of comedy. A former shock jock radio host (Howard Stern style from what I hear), drug addict turned clean, political commentator on a National station. I admire how far he has come, I'll give him that. But I just love his chalk board talks. When I do watch the news, and I see he is on, I'll watch just because I know it'll be good ENTERTAINMENT. That's his business. ENTERTAINMENT. He used to be on CNN until around Obama got elected. Part of me says that he seen his gold mine. A station known for bending over backwards between their legs back to the top for the right side, now has an audience who disagrees with the new administration. Take their reactions, amplify it times 20 and become a character of yourself. The shock jock's job is to make you talk about him, make you listen to him. America bit. He has a decently rated TV show, numerous NY #1 Best Sellers, and enough fans to hold a rally in DC. Look at me, I'm talking about him because I think his views are ridiculous. But I find them entertaining. And sometimes Dead-Pan, deep serious character comedy is the best. Do yourself a favor, left or right side, watch Glen Beck and marvel at an American success, no matter how ridiculous or right you think he is. Article Comments(1)BrandiBOct-25-10 10:26 AM LOL! Fox News as the best comedy station. That's priceless. Although it's usually pretty funny, I'd have to say the amount of ignorance & bias on there tends to depress me. Post a Comment | |
