Apple is battling the Pirates

October 8, 2010 - Eddie Kokosinski
Apple is in the process of bringing out a service that would allow access to an unlimited amount of songs for a monthly fee. What songs? No details yet, but the fee is in between $10 & $15 and there will be a timeframe on how long you can keep said songs. Is it a good deal? Well probably not, but it's a better start to slowing down pirated music. Free still beats $120 a year any day of the week. But if something were to change the layout, like the government shutting down certain websites and servers and give 'customers' the option to pay fee's so high that their grandkids will be in debt, or a few year contract stipulating they have to pay for this iTunes service. My idea isn't that good, but again it's a start isn't it?

Everyone who lives paycheck to paycheck has downloaded something (depending on age..I'd say at least 40 and under have) and even people who don't probably do too. It would be a huge win for the economy, a minimal loss for customers/pirates and everyone would at some point will be happy.

And for those of you who say you won't be happy if that happens, I'm sure if they went my way and gave you the choice of paying for a lawyer, going to court, paying for the ridiculous amount of money they'll want per song or signing a contract for say 3 or 4 years at $120 per, you'd be jumping for joy they even gave you that choice. I know I would be.
