| | Oops!November 16, 2009 - Mike MathisonYou will see a pretty good little story today in my column about Cleveland Browns standout Josh Cribbs. In the column I basically said he played for two colleges -- Akron and the Golden Flashes. Akron is the Zips and Kent State is the Golden Flashes. Cribbs played quarterback at Kent State. My bad and I apologize. It is, though, a really good story about a guy who honored a commitment and did so rather quietly. He wanted to honor his former coach at Kent State, Mike Drake, who died of cancer in 2005 by walking his son, Michael, at Senior Night on Oct. 30 at Stow High School. Michael had no idea it was being done and was rather shocked when he saw Cribbs there. Wwhen Michael crossed the field the announcer introduced the trio accompanying him as 'mother Patty, sister Abby and brother Josh.' Way cool. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article.
