September 16, 2009 - Mike Mathison
Two years after picking Terry Fator, someone with a ton of talent, and one year after Neil Boyd, America picks Kevin Skinner.
Are you kidding, America?
This is not who has the best story ... who has the most simple background. It is about talent and he is far from the best in the final 10.
I am no lover of opera, but I would have gone to see Barbara Padilla long before paying something more than an Abraham Lincoln to a Skinner concert.
Give me anyone in the top 10 besides Grandma Lee (sorry folks) before Skinner.
Lawrence Beamon has a brilliant voice.
Recycled Percussions would be fun to watch.
I'd go watch Fab 5 any day.
Oh well, I guess America has choken.
